Southern Employment & Training Network (SETN) is seeking a Youth Local Engagement Officer to join our small, supportive team on a fixed-term contract until 1 November 2027.

In this rewarding role, you’ll support young people aged 16–25 years across the Huon Valley, Channel and Bruny Island region. You’ll develop strong relationships with schools, youth-focused organisations, employers and community partners, helping young people overcome barriers and connect with opportunities that support their goals.

• Helping young people identify their strengths, interests, goals and potential career pathways.

• Connecting local employers with young people and promoting suitable employment and work-experience opportunities.

• Working collaboratively with community organisations, training providers, employers and other services to support positive outcomes.

• Maintaining accurate records and working in accordance with SETN policies, child-safe principles and relevant legislative requirements.

Skills and Requirements:

• Experience in youth work, employment services, education, community services or a related field is preferred.
