A hotel on Bruny Island is seeking two Casual Front of House & Housekeeping Assistants. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys guest service and takes pride in creating welcoming experiences for visitors.
As part of the hospitality team, you'll provide flexible support across both front of house and housekeeping duties—greeting guests, serving food and drinks, and ensuring accommodation and dining areas are maintained to a professional standard.
You'll Be:

General Duties Include:
• Cleaning and resetting guest rooms and common areas to a professional standard.

• Assisting with bar service (RSA required), food running, and occasional kitchen support.
• Following health, hygiene, and food safety procedures throughout all tasks.
• Reporting maintenance issues promptly and ensuring the hotel environment is safe and welcoming.
Employment Details:

Casual Labourers – Wharf Unloading (Fishing Vessel Crew)
We’re currently seeking approximately 40 physically fit and reliable labourers to join a fishing vessel unload crew operating at Hobart Wharf. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced port environment, ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and structured shifts.
Working as part of a team, you’ll assist with unloading frozen catch from fishing vessels, supporting efficient and safe operations across multiple work zones including freezer holds, sorting areas, and container loading.
You’ll Be:
Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting (10–20kg cartons).
Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to full 12-hour shifts.
Comfortable working in fast-paced and physically demanding environments.
Safety-focused with a strong work ethic.
Confident with basic numeracy (reading and matching carton and pallet numbers).
General Duties Include:
Manual unloading of cartons and frozen product (including team lifts).
Sorting cartons and placing them onto correctly numbered pallets.
Working across multiple areas including freezer holds (cold conditions), sorting zones, and loading areas.
Following all site safety requirements and procedures.
Employment Details:
Casual role with 12-hour shifts (6:30am – 6:30pm).
Each unload runs for approximately 3–5 consecutive days.
Competitive above-award pay rates plus applicable penalties.
Ongoing opportunities for future unloads (July/August).
Free on-site parking.
Training and onboarding provided, including pre-medical and group interview process.
Mandatory Requirements:
Valid physical Government ID (required for site access).
High-visibility vest, safety boots, and suitable warm clothing.
Ability to work in cold environments (PPE provided for freezer areas).
Ability to bring sufficient food/drinks for long shifts (restricted site access).
